Working mom woes... A day in the life.

Our working mom morning starts in bed, in the dark, you hear the floor board next to the bed creak, you slooooowly open your eyes to a child just standing there, staring you right in the face, it scares the shit out of you and you jump up causing a cramp in your toe, forget waking up nicely to the peaceful sound of an ocean wave alarm clock.

Next it's breakfast time.

Wait what? Breakfast TIME? There's no such thing in the working mom world. That's what Pop-tarts were invented for!

Fast forward to the brave attempt at getting three elementary aged girls ready for school in the morning. This involves trying to find a matching pair of socks when there are no matching socks. Refereeing the two older girls over a shirt they both want to wear when they have an enormous closet full of clothing some of it still has the tags on it.
It's time to get dressed, curl my hair, slather on the 6 pounds of makeup society requires me to wear and squeezing my big mom butt into the Spanx I bought that were 2 sizes too small. The working mom has no time to try clothing on at the store.
Drop the girls off at school, now it's time to go to work, by the way it's still only 7:30 in the morning. You wonder why we have mom butts by the time we're 35 it's because we sit in that awfully painful office chair at work in our cubicles for 8 hours a day or more. You're welcome. Typing causes our hands to hurt, Staring at the computer hurts our eyes, The negative Nancy in the cubicle next to you hurts your ears, and on top of all that we get paid $11 an hour. Woopee!
It's time to go home now. She gets into her 1991 Toyota Camry, why a 1991 Toyota Camry you ask? Because they're cheap, they get good gas mileage and if you lose the key to it, you can start it with just about any flat metal object. The commute home is slow and daunting. Home finally, she is greeted by hugs and kisses by the 3 most precious faces in the world. "What do you girls want for dinner tonight?"
"Lasagna"
"Steak"
"Chicken Salad"
It's been a long day. The words that come out of her mouth are music to her ears.
"Pizza delivery sounds REAL good right about now"
Yeah!

Why go through all the stress of being a working mom when you can be a work at home mom?
